Samenstellen in SpectraProof is heel eenvoudig: elk materiaal kan gescand of gefotografeerd worden en vervolgens opgeslagen worden als JPEG-bestand met een ICC-profiel zoals ProFotoRGB eraan gekoppeld, waarbij het RGB-profiel hetzelfde moet zijn als de interne werkkleurruimte. Deze afbeeldingen worden opgeslagen in verschillende mappen in SpectraProof. De materialen zijn dan bijvoorbeeld beschikbaar in de selectielijst Substrate als ze in de map Substrates staan.<\/p>\n\n\n

Waarom is deze simulatie zo belangrijk? Wanneer papiersimulatie bijvoorbeeld is ingeschakeld in klassieke ICC-profielproefafdrukken, is het resultaat gewoon een kleurvlak dat op de achtergrond is getekend. Dit kan goed werken voor kopieerpapier of papier dat OBA bevat. Het zachte papieroppervlak zal blauwachtig, zeemachtig of grijs zijn.
Soft proofing mislukt bij papier zoals krantenpapier, golfkarton, kraftpapier en papier met effectinsluitsels. Soft proofing produceert slechts een monochroom oppervlak dat weinig te maken heeft met het werkelijke uiterlijk van het materiaal. Misschien is de LAB-waarde correct, maar de structuur, het gevoel, de indruk en de insluitsels ontbreken. Een egale grijstint ziet er gewoon kunstmatig en in de meeste gevallen absoluut verkeerd uit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zelfs onze ogen kunnen dit niet compenseren. In sommige gevallen hebben proefdrukfabrikanten proefdrukpapier ontwikkeld dat deze papiersoorten simuleert. Dit is bijvoorbeeld het geval voor krantenpapier. Want zelfs als men alleen de papiersimulatie voor krantenpapier in de proefdruk afdrukt, ziet het er nog steeds een beetje kunstmatig uit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SpectraProof verbetert dit door de papiersimulatie uit te schakelen en in plaats daarvan een realistische weergave over de soft proof heen te leggen. Het substraat of de folie wordt in de volledige achtergrond getekend. Met een hot foil als materiaalgebonden folie worden gescande metallic oppervlakken zoals goud, zilver, rood- en groen-metallic gebruikt. Een scheiding in SpectraProof kan dan worden geactiveerd en ingesteld op \"folie\" met een simpele klik op een knop. De gebruiker kan dan het materiaal selecteren dat gebruikt moet worden voor de simulatie van de folie in de samenstellingsparameters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SpectraProof gebruikt dergelijke fotocomposities met hun pixelinformatie van de scheiding en plaatst daar de fotorealistische afbeelding van de folie. Dit werkt op precies dezelfde manier als het proces bij de drukproductie. Hier wordt een film en vervolgens een embossingclich\u00e9 gemaakt en de hete folie wordt in reli\u00ebf aangebracht precies waar het clich\u00e9 de hete folie heeft geplaatst. SpectraProof werkt op precies dezelfde manier op het beeldscherm en gebruikt de scheiding als een masker om de materiaalscan dienovereenkomstig in het clich\u00e9 op te nemen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dit is iets anders bij het simuleren van laminaat, omdat het laminaat de afdruk en de kleur van de afdruk verandert. SpectraProof plaatst daarom een laag over de softproof voor laminaat en vernis om deze materialen te simuleren.
Mat lamineren maakt de donkere delen van de afdruk lichter en cre\u00ebert een soort diffuus wit, waardoor een sluier over de afbeelding ontstaat. Bij lamineren met glansfilm wordt alles donkerder en krijgt het meer contrast en knisperigheid. SpectraProof bereikt deze kleursimulatie door kleurpixels bovenop de softproof te plaatsen. De gebruiker kan een opaciteits- of dekkingswaarde voor deze pixels instellen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
